Alien Trespass Movie Review

Just how many of us are interested in stories that relates to bones? A fraction of peoples perhaps, at the most, if compared to traps outlined with plenty of innuendos (aliens with boners) – a fact that Steven P. Fisher (writer) and R.W. Goodwin (director) were fast to grasp. But should it be a reason enough to turn a promising parody sour? Even those who love the 1950s era science fiction movies shall find the digression hard to digest; this time, it’s social ignorance based on a flat imitation of the exaggerations that fails miserably to live up to its initial promise.

The story is about an UFO that crashed in Americana, a small town and a frank and honest scientist Ted Lewis, who abandons for some time Lana – his incessantly romantic wife Lana and proceeds to know the secrets of a glowing, flying saucer. The UFO captured the attention of the town’s residents and the scientist, who gets abducted and becomes the residential body of Urp, an alien. Urp is on a mission to deal with Ghota – a Cyclop-like monstrous alien with tentacles – and to finish him off. This one-eyed space monster is breaking nuisance to the local community with his habit of turning anything that’s living into puddles.

Regarding the technicality and filming, Alien Trespass deserves a few laurels as much as its vibrant, dazzling and iridescent coloration and the wardrobe – fantastic is an understatement if we have to apply an adjective. As far as the movie’s acting ensemble goes, it is stylistically accurate at the least and certainly deserves more than a few commendations on the performances. However, all that cannot wipe the fact out that all these could have produced a far greater output if the screenwriter knew the places to incorporate the opportunities that the actual comic had in terms of substantially.

What should we rank it at? You are to decide; however, officially the ratings are PG for this 90 minutes long C+ category movie.
