Farewell, My Childhood and Those Sweet Memories
June 30th, 2010 Filed under: Movies — Movie Critic
Friends said that I have a poker face because I am hard to read. I seldom moved by a cartoon film, to say nothing of a comic cartoon film. However, if you are at the next seat of me when I see Toy Story 3 in cinema, you will find a girl in tears – that’s me.
I have to say this is really a great film about friendship, childhood, oblivion and growing. At the beginning of the film, Andy is still a little boy who plays with his toys all day. However, time flies, with the growing of Andy, toys are put into the wood case as sundries. What’s more sad is these lonely toys scheme a trick, only for hearing Andy’s voice.
If Andy put all these toys in attic smoothly, then there should be no such a fantastic story. Feeling betrayed by Andy, toys decide to find their new life – be donated. However, new life in fact is also the beginning of nightmare.
Fortunately, they work as a team and finally escape from the kindergarten. They go back to Andy’s home. However, after experiencing all those bad things, Woody releases that he has to find a new home for his friend while not let them alone in the attic. He writes a note to Andy and then all toys are sent to a little girl who loves to play with toys.
When Andy tells the little girl the story between his toys and him, and reminds those sweet memories, I cannot help crying. We say farewell to our past and step into the future. We know that life will be better and better, but why we feel so sad when we look back. The reason is all piece of memory can never be replaced by another.
