Heroes – Close to You – Episode 15 Review

January 19th, 2010 Filed under: Uncategorized — Movie Critic

The last episode of Heroes was a bore. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for dramatic suspense, but Heroes is definitely pushing it. I can’t stomach Noah’s carnival obsession or Hiro’s mumbo jumbo for much longer. “Close to You” fixes one of the two, and that’s not too bad.

Whatever Vanessa did to Samuel when they were kids must’ve been something serious because he’s upped the ante on his stalker status. He upgraded from drawing pictures to kidnapping! She can thank Noah and Matt for that! This dynamic duo hatches a scheme to take Samuel down by using her as bait (too bad Samuel had the better hook).

Emma isn’t the only one using come-hither powers. She calls Peter and Lydia is calling Peter. She thinks he’s “The One”. What is this, The Matrix? Enter Peter to break up too much bad guy karma in one tv show. He snatches his mom’s powers, ignores her warnings, and starts dreaming all crazy about Emma.

In other craziness, Ando, Hiro, and Dr. Suresh bust out the psych hospital. Hiro’s weirdness comes to an end when Ando figures out how to zap him back to normalcy. The ending of NBC Heroes season four has got to end in an awesome display of good triumphing over evil, or at least not-so-bad bad guys triumphing over really bad bad guys. Then again, I’d settle for some killer fight scenes. Those of us who watch Heroes despite some stretched out plots are owed at least that.
