Miley Cyrus Finishes Filming ‘The Last Song’ in Georgia

Miley Cyrus has just finished filming her latest movie in Savannah Georgia. ‘The Last Song’ is a novel written by Nicholas Sparks that has been adapted by the author himself into a screenplay for the young starlet. Cyrus first started filming the movie in the middle of June, and has been living by herself away from her family for the majority of the shoot.
‘The Last Song’ is about a rebellious teenager (Cyrus) who is resentful about the fact that she never got to know her father. Despite this, the father tries to make amends when her mother sends her to spend the summer with him. Like any good Disney teen movie, there are a few love interests that Cyrus must deal with while trying to connect with a man who she barely knows.
This movie has already enjoyed a huge following on the internet. Miley Cyrus is one of the biggest stars of 2009 and therefore anything she does is closely scrutinized and commented on. The movie has already even made a few headlines. Last week a stalker was arrested for pursuing Cyrus on set and the town of Savannah, Georgia has seen a huge boost in publicity since the Disney film crew arrived.
There is no doubt that this movie is going to be a huge hit when it comes out in theaters in January 2010. Unfortunately, the future of young Ms. Cyrus is not so clear. Will this movie be successful in changing Miley from a young Disney channel starlet to a successful actress? Only time will tell.
