Since the publication of “Da Vinci Code” and the subsequent release of the movie, Dan Brown has become synonymous with the controversial. He possesses a tremendous flair of a naturally gifted storyteller. He has an unmatched ability of being able to weave incredibly nice stories out of controversial themes and ideas.

After the success of movie based on “Da Vinci Code”, another of his controversial books “Angels and Demons” is set to hit the movies. “Da Vinci Code” was good but “Angels and Demons” is far ahead, incomparably brilliant, an astounding literary work set out to be a classic and it will definitely set Dan Brown on the road to becoming a literary giant if he continues to maintain such literary sophistication.

In May this year, the movie based on “Angels and Demons” is set to be released. It is impossible to make a bad movie out of it. Ron Howard who directed the Da Vinci Code”, “Frost and Nixon” among others at the alms of affairs directing, it is indubitable that the movie will be one of the best of 2009.

“Angels and Demons” tells the story the sudden reappearance of an Ancient Brotherhood thought to be defunct for hundreds of years. This Brotherhood is on a nonnegotiable course of vengeance. The Ancient Brotherhood of the Illuminati seems to have been miraculously resurrected and on a course of vengeance against its principal enemy, the Catholic Church . A catholic priest is found dead with the branded symbol of the Illuminati. Tom Hanks plays Robert Langdon, a Harvard Professor of religious iconology on the quest to help resolve the mystery and avert the impending catastrophe.

Langdon and Vittoria Vetra the adopted daughter of the murdered priest Leonardo Vetra team up with the head of Vatican security, Commander Olivetti and Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca to save the Vatican. The story unfolds with extraordinary twist and turns that leaves you surprised.

It is interesting, full of suspense and has historical undertones and “fictionally realistic”, making it more believable and carrying with it the possibility of reality leaving you feeling submerged in the unfolding story as a passive observer in a real life situation.

If “Da Vinci Code” is entertaining, informative, full of suspense and intrigue, “Angels and Demons is even better.
