Nip Tuck Season 4 Review
October 28th, 2008 Filed under: Uncategorized — Movie CriticFans of Nip Tuck who experienced the exciting climax of season three waited on the edge of their seats for the beginning of season four. And this season of Nip Tuck does not disappoint. The season opens with the booming business of McNamara Troy and takes it from there.
During this season we find out that the baby that Sean and Julia are expecting will be born with a birth defect. It seems as though the baby of the talented plastic surgeon will have a defect that will cause his fingers to be fused together. It is a fascinating plot twist for a show about perfection and beauty. This season also brings the addition of Peter Dinklage to the cast as the new nanny. You would think that a dwarf male nanny would be a bit of a stretch, but the Peter Dinklage pulls off the role with style. It seems as though the McNamara household is back on track.
McNamara Troy gets a new owner during this season, which provides the series with a new plot line that introduces new characters. The business is bought by a patient who specializes in the management of medical practices, but will be run by his stunning wife, Michelle. This character and her mysterious past provide an intriguing plot line for Christian Troy as he becomes more and more involved with the beautiful Michelle.
Matt has an interesting turn away from his dark, dark past and into the world of Scientology with the former love interest of Christian, Kimber. We see these two characters become more and more involved in Scientology and the affect that it has on their lives.
This show has provided a great deal of guilty pleasure for its fans during the last three seasons, and season four continues to deliver. This show is not for those with weak stomachs or those who are easily offended, but if you can get past the graphic surgery scenes then you are in for a rare treat. Of course, if you have been watching for a while then you know what to expect. This season does not back away from any of the graphic scenes and biting humor. The writers of Nip Tuck have the darkest sense of humor on television. Those who have been watching have known this fact for the last three seasons. It is the writing and the dialogue on Nip Tuck that will bring the viewers back season after season.
When you have the Nip Tuck DVD collection, you can watch this series at your leisure and spend one long leisurely weekend enjoying the subplots and twists that this series always delivers. One of the best medical dramas ever produced on television is what you will receive with Nip Tuck.
Without spoiling anything for those who have never had the pleasure of watching this show, we will tell you that season four of Nip Tuck ends with enough mystery to keep viewers sitting on the edge of their seats for season five. Stay tuned for more.
Nip Tuck is a unique series definitely worth catching up on. If you are new to the show spend a weekend with the Nip Tuck DVD and fall in love. If you are already a fan the Nip Tuck Season 4 DVD and Nip Tuck Season 5 DVD are both available now for you to watch again and again.
